What is Sanskrit?
It is said that Sanskrit is the language of the Gods. Many of the vedic scriptures and epics have originally been recited and penned down in Sanskrit. For millennia the language has maintained its purity. The meaning of the word itself is ‘perfected ‘or ‘refined’. So the effect on the individual is one of purification.
Sanskrit is a highly structured language, which is measured, refined and ordered.
Benefits of Learning Sanskrit
Studying Sanskrit will help you understand ancient religious texts, verses and other Sanskrit words in their true context, with nothing getting lost in translation.
Mantra chanting, for example, is based on the principle that the vibrational frequency of the sounds, as they are being uttered, directly transforms the spiritual vibration of the person who is chanting. The sound of Sanskrit has the ability to purify and heal body, mind and spirit, as the sound vibration contained in mantras directly influences the subtle energy vibration of cells and organs, the nervous system and the chakras.
